Architect behind Dubai finance centre masterplan expands in UAE
Gensler, the architect behind the Dubai International Financial Centre masterplan, has opened a new office in Abu Dhabi.
The architect already had offices in London and Dubai, but has opened a new office to cater for projects elsewhere in the Gulf. The office will be headed up by Tareq Abu-Sukheila, general manager of the UAE region.
Chris Johnson, managing principal of Gensler, said: “With projects in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia among others, the opening of Gensler Abu Dhabi not only extends the practice’s global design and business capabilities within the Middle East, it cements our long-standing relationship and commitment to the region.”
Gensler works as a masterplanner, architect and interior designer in the Gulf, with projects such as the Gate Tameer towers and the masterplan for Saadiyat Island also under its belt.
