Contractor will include biomass energy centre and sustainable urban drainage system at West Kent College's Tonbridge campus
Contractor Galliford Try has secured a £54m deal to build a further education project in Kent.
The firm will redevelop West Kent College's Tonbridge campus.
Called Campus 21, the scheme will include a new performance arts building, a main reception area, a community hub and learning areas. Designs include a biomass energy centre and a sustainable urban drainage system.
The college is expected to complete in 2011.
Greg Fitzgerald, Galliford Try's chief executive, said: “'The award of this project underlines again our expertise and track record in the education market and we are delighted to be delivering this new project for West Kent College.”
