The new halls will be built on Paradise Street by the firm’s East Midlands operation
Galliford Try has won a £52.5m contract to build a 922-bed student accommodation facility in Coventry.
The new halls will be built by the firm’s East Midlands’ operation on Paradise Street in the city. The development will feature three blocks of three, 12 and 14 storeys on the site of a former garage near the city centre, with an additional two low-rise house blocks.
Additional landscaping will include a recreational area for the students, plus office and maintenance facilities for the proposed management company AXO Student Living.
Galliford Try is currently building a £47.5m 770-bed student accommodation facility at Godiva Place in Coventry.
Jon Marston, Galliford Try East Midlands’ managing director, said: “We are delighted to have won this contract and continue to build on our strong reputation as a contractor both within Coventry and in the student accommodation sector.”
