Contractor to build or refurbish healthcare centres and hospitals in Grampian, Newcastle and Liverpool
Construction and housebuilding firm Galliford Try has won £48.6m-worth of healthcare-related construction contracts.
Scottish health trust NHS Grampian has picked the firm to design and build three new healthcare centres, one in Forres Moray and two in Aberdeen. The contracts were procured under the new Framework Scotland, which is being used for healthcare projects.
In addition, Galliford Try has secured two contracts worth £4.2m to refurbish wards at the Royal Victoria and Freeman hospitals in Newcastle. It is already refurbishing the Royal Victoria Infirmary for Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Three LIFT contracts in Liverpool totalling £22.1m have also been awarded to Galliford Try as part of the Liverpool and Sefton LIFT Health Partnership Framework. These are the Garston NHS treatment centre, Speke neighbourhood health centre and Oriel Drive health centre in Aintree.
