Contractor wins place on Reading scheme
Contractor and housebuilder Galliford Try has won a £38m contract to the Forbury Place project in Reading by client M&G Real Estate and Bell Hammer.
The eight-storey 185,000 sq ft scheme will target a Breeam “excellent” rating and is the first of two new office complexes planned for the site of the former Energis House in the town.
Galliford Try Chief Executive Greg Fitzgerald said the win cemented the firm’s position as a leading contractor within the office sector in the South East. “We look forward to working with our partners at M&G Real Estate and Bell Hammer to provide a landmark new building for business in Reading,” he said.
