Remodelling and extension work at London Colney and Cheshunt stores will start in January
Galliford Try and Elmer Construction have secured a £34m contract to redevelop and refit two Marks & Spencer superstores.
The redevelopment of the stores at London Colney and Cheshunt will start in January 2007 with completion expected in October 2007.
The projects both involve a total remodelling and 20,000 sq ft extension, redevelopment and remodelling of all sales and back of house support areas and the construction of new delicatessens, cafes and food halls.
Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “Galliford Try is delighted to be working with Marks & Spencer to help it create the optimal environment for its customers. We have a track record in carrying out complex construction projects with minimal disruption to our clients operations, which is especially important in the retail sector, where we see growth opportunities.”
