Contractor secures £13m Newport station revamp and £6m deal to upgrade former Silverlink stations around London
Construction and housebuilding group Galliford Try has announced that it has secured two rail contracts worth a total of £19m.
Network Rail has awarded it a £13m regeneration project at Newport station in south Wales, to be completed by autumn 2010.

It has also won a £6m contract to carry out electrical, telecommunications and civil engineering works for London Underground to upgrade 12 former Silverlink stations on the London overground line.
Greg Fitzgerald, chief executive of Galliford Try, said: “We are delighted to secure new work in the rail sector for both Network Rail and London Underground, underlining our capacity to provide clients with a single-source construction solution to their projects.”
