Galliford Try has announced that its next chairman will be Ian Coull, the chief executive of Segro.
Coull, who is stepping down from Segro, will join the board as a non-executive director on 8 November and will succeed David Calverley on 1 July 2011.
Before joining Segro, Europe’s largest industrial REIT and business space provider, Coull was a director of Sainsbury’s with responsibility for all property, construction, environmental and related activities. He is a fellow of the RICS.
Coull said: “This is an exciting time to be joining the company as they continue to drive forward their housebuilding expansion plan and develop their construction activities.”
Calverley said: “Ian will be a tremendous asset to the company.”
