Galliford's Morrison Construction business will work with Earth Tech on two Yorkshire Water waste water works
A joint venture led by contractor Galliford Try has won £32m of work with Yorkshire Water.
Morrison Construction, part of Galliford Try’s construction business, has been awarded a £25.6m contract in joint venture with Earth Tech to upgrade the Mitchell Laithes Waste Water Treatment Works. It also won a £6.7m contract to construct new treatment facilities at the Lundwood Water Waste Works near Barnsley.
Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “Galliford Try is delighted to be playing a major role in delivering Yorkshire Water’s infrastructure programme."
"Galliford Try is one of the leading contractors to the water industry and our ability to secure projects over and above the long term framework contracts we have with our water industry clients demonstrates the resources and expertise we can bring to this important market.”
Work on the schemes is due to start in 2007 for completion by March 2010.
