Contractor's Scottish infrastructure arm, Morrison Construction, is named as one of 17 delivery partners

Scottish Water has selected Galliford Try's Scottish infrastructure business, Morrison Construction, as a framework delivery partner.

Morrison Construction was chosen as one of 17 framework partners to work on projects with Scottish Water's in-house delivery arm, Scottish Water Solutions 2.

The framework will cover almost £2bn of capital works in Scotland. It has been divided into three groups - non-infrastructure, infrastructure and capital maintenance work.

Only five framework partners, including Morrison Construction, have secured a position on all three lots.

The non-infrastructure and capital maintenance section will be carried out in a joint venture with partner Enpure.

Construction work under the framework is expected to begin in April 2010, and will run for four years, with a two-year renewal option.
