Subsidiary Morrison wins deal to build a community hospital in East Lothian
Galliford Try has won a £72m contract to build a new community hospital in Scotland.
The contractor’s Morrison Construction subsidiary has been named preferred delivery partner by client Hub South East Scotland to build the East Lothian Community Hospital.
Morrison Construction will deliver the 23,000 sq m community hospital on the existing Roodlands Campus in Haddington.
When operational, the facility will provide services including day surgery, mental health inpatient beds and a pharmacy.
Galliford Try’s facilities management division has also won a contract worth £32m over 25 years to provide ongoing hard facilities management and lifecycle management at the hospital.
In addition, the firm’s investment arm will also be investing and providing management services to the company which will be set up to fund the project.
