Eight six firms appointed to £400m social housing repairs framework in the North-west of England for Procure Plus
Scores of firms have been appointed to a new £400m social housing repairs framework in the North-west of England.
Eight six firms have been appointed to the Installation and Repair Works framework for social housing procurement consortium Procure Plus, which is worth £397.5m over four years.
The winners include Forrest, GB Building Solutions, Mitie, Keepmoat, Morrison and Vinci.
Work will be allocated through a competitive tendering exercise to ensure value for money is derived by the framework.
Procure Plus is a social housing regeneration consortium that works with registered social housing providers across the North-west of England.
It was established to provide better value on the procurement of construction materials and contractors through efficient working processes and collective buying power.
Lee McCarren, Forrest chief executive, said: “This is the third time we’ve been appointed to this framework and winning contracts through these types of agreements forms a significant part of our growth strategy.
“The framework will ensure that registered providers have a wealth of suitable contractors available at a time when there’s particularly high demand for construction in the housing sector in the UK.”
