Grimshaw unveils designs for refurbishment of terminal one entrance
Architect Grimshaw has unveiled its design for a refurbishment of the entrance to Frankfurt Airport’s terminal one.
The design for the 1km strip of forecourt seeks to create a “light and fresh” area from one which is now congested with public and private transport routes.
The canopy, which shades the retail concourse, and the bridges are supported by new columns to help speed up construction and keep the existing parts of the terminal operational while structural work takes place.
