Four companies have been chosen to lead efforts to revive the housing market in the Potteries.

Countryside Properties, David Wilson Homes, Bellway Homes and Inspired Developments have been selected for the task, which is being run by the Renew North Staffordshire pathfinder.

The four have been picked to redevelop areas suffering from low housing demand.

Countryside will be lead developer for the centre of Stoke-on-Trent, Inspired will take on Middleport and Burslem, David Wilson will work on Meir, and Bellway will handle Knutton, Cross Heath, and Newcastle-under-Lyme. The firms were chosen by a panel that included Cabe and local residents.
