Balfour Beatty and Morgan Est among companies invited to tender for Bond Street station contract
Four companies have been shortlisted for the development of the £150m construction component of the London Underground Bond Street tube station.
A Taylor Woodrow/BAM Nuttall joint venture, a Laing O’Rourke/Batchy Soletanche/Costain joint venture, Balfour Beatty and Morgan Est will all be invited to tender for the job later this month.
A contract will be awarded in 2010, with a separate contract set to be let by Crossrail for the nearby Davies Street and Hanover Square station in due course. This will connect to Bond Street tube station.
The overall cost of the tube project is around £300m.
Design contracts for Bond Street Crossrail are currently out to tender.
