Museum appoints architect and Drivers Jonas Deloitte as project manager for redevelopment of London site
The Imperial War Museum has appointed Foster + Partners as architect and Drivers Jonas Deloitte as project manager of its masterplan.
The museum is preparing to redevelop its Lambeth Road site in London, which was formerly the Bedlam hospital. The first phase is due to be completed in time for the national commemoration of the First World War centenary in 2014.
A statement from the museum said the two firms will work to develop a “comprehensive masterplan within the footprint of the existing building”.
Foster + Partners’ masterplan is due to be approved in September 2010.
