Foster poaches Roger Ridsdill-Smith from Arup

Foster + Partners has recruited Arup engineer Roger Ridsdill-Smith to head up its engineering design team.

Ridsdill-Smith ahs worked on Foster projects for 16 years while at Arup.

Commenting on the appointment Norman Foster said: “Roger is an engineer of extraordinary talent and vision and his joining us now marks a significant point of return to our roots.”

Ridsdill-Smith said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to bring creative engineering right to the earliest stages of a project. I am really looking forward to the challenge”
