Foster + Partners win contract to design a 650,000ft2 tower for Lehman Brothers Holdings on Park Avenue
Architect Foster + Partners has won a contract to design a 650,000ft2 New York office tower for Lehman Brothers Holdings.
It will be situated on Park Avenue. Foster + Partners beat competition from Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, OMA and Zaha Hadid Architects.
Norman Foster, chair of Foster + Partners, said: “I have a personal connection with New York, which has been a source of inspiration since my time at Yale, when the new towers on Park Avenue and its neighbourhoods were a magnet for every young architect.”
