Sisk appoints Steve Carden as director of regional businesses

Sisk has appointed Steve Carden as director of regional businesses, as part of its ongoing investment in the business to support its growth plans.

Carden was most recently managing director for construction at Rok. The firm fell into administration last November with debts of over £190m.

Carden has over 25 years experience in the construction industry having worked his way from site management to directorship.

He will be based at Sisk’s office in Birmingham. Commenting on his appointment Carden said:

“Sisk is strong on investing in long term client relationships, which is testament to its culture of integrity and family ownership of the business.

“I am excited about an appointment to an organisation with such emphasis on client focus and I will continue to reinforce this as we build on Sisk’s recent contract successes.”

The appointment allows Chris Dyer, the current director of regional businesses, to take up a new role with responsibility for pre-contract activity at main board level.
