Simon Kirby will report to firm’s board
Ex-HS2 chief executive Simon Kirby has taken a job at London management consultants Nichols Group.
Kirby takes up his role as associate senior advisor reporting to the board at the Marylebone-based consultancy immediately.
The firm is working on high-profile infrastructure projects including the delayed Crossrail scheme, where it is programme partner in a joint venture with Aecom and CH2M Hill.
Nichols has also worked for Transport for London and the 2012 Olympic Games.
Nichols describes itself as advising on “large, iconic programmes, complex projects and major business change initiatives”.
Kirby led HS2 for close to three years, before a 19-month stint at Rolls-Royce as chief operating officer. That ended in May when he left in May as part of a cost-cutting initiative.
