Former Balfour Beatty chief executive Nick Pollard to take up new role with Cory Environmental next week
Balfour Beatty’s former UK construction services chief executive Nick Pollard has landed a new role as chief executive of Cory Environmental.
Pollard will take up his new role on 1 December 2015 at the resource management, recycling and energy recovery company, replacing Peter Gerstrom, who is becoming deputy chairman of the group.
Pollard left Balfour Beatty in the summer after two years, during which the troubled contractor posted a string of profit warnings. Previously he worked for Bovis Lendlease and Skanska.
Jonson Cox, Chairman of the Cory Group, said: “Nicholas brings a strong customer and commercial focus, bundles of determination and very relevant experience of an asset based business. I welcome him on board.”
Balfour Beatty is currently undergoing a major overhaul of its businesses and management under chief executive Leo Quinn, which has seen it confirm this week the closure of up to four of its regional offices.
