The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has put contracts for the infrastructure for the Olympic park out for tender this week.
It issued an Official Journal notice for the first four packages of work, which mainly involve the construction of roads and bridges.
The whole project will include 32 bridges, five underpasses, 20km of roads in an around the Olympic park, road signage and marking, retaining walls and security fencing and lighting.
The appointment of contractors for the first package of work is expected in early 2008.
Contract notices for further packages of work are also expected at this time.
Companies can tender for the contracts on the ODA’s eTendering website: etenders.london2012.com.
