Scheme was given planning in 2017
A specialist NHS cancer trust in Wales has put firms on notice that plans to build a £180m cancer centre in Cardiff will be up for grabs soon.
The scheme for Velindre University NHS Trust, set up in 1994 to provide cancer services in the Principality, is due to publish a contract notice for the job on 15 May.
The 32,500 sq m centre will be built on a greenfield site in the Whitchurch area of the Welsh capital and will replace an ageing facility that was built in the 1950s.
Designed by Hassell Architects, the scheme was given planning at the end of 2017.
Planning consultant on the scheme is local firm The Urbanists.
