Cable manufacturer Nexans has introduced Alsecure Premium, its new range of CR1-C1 certified fire-resistant cables.

The company says the cables are specifically designed for fire safety systems, and can be used in offices and commercial buildings. Alsecure Premium incorporates Nexans’ INFIT polymer technology, which changes the cable’s plastic covering into a ceramic layer in the event of a fire to ensure the circuit does not break. The company claims Alsecure Premium is three times stronger than traditional fire-resistant cables.
