Consultant strengthens its North-west health and safety team with new appointments

Cost consultant Faithful+Gould has strengthened its North-west health and safety team with two new appointments at its Warrington office.

Barry Holbrok and Jeremy Meredith have joined the team as CDM co-ordinators and will advise clients on matters relating to construction health and safety.

Holbrok joins from Pipeline Induction Heat and Meredith previously worked for Gower Homes.

Colin Darley, managing coordinator of F+G’s CDM team in Manchester and Warrington, says: “The expansion of the CDM team is a direct result of increasing client demand since the CDMC regulations were amended last year.

“The amendments place more responsibility on companies, making them increasingly accountable for the health and safety of those working on, or affected by, their projects.

“Not only is it extremely difficult for companies to manage construction health and safety internally, but it can also be very costly when mistakes are made as a result. Our clients are benefiting from our in-depth expertise and knowledge in this area. ”

The team is currently managing site safety services on a number of projects for clients including Manchester city council, the Ministry of Justice, the Environment Agency and American Airlines.

The CDM team is a member of the Association of Project Safety and all the team members are NEBOSH and IOSH accredited.
