Joint venture scoops 55,000m² International Broadcast Centre for 2012 Games
FCC Elliott UK has won a role to fit out the International Broadcast Centre for the 2012 London Olympics.
The scheme was awarded to the joint venture between Spanish firm FCC Construcción (FCC) and P Elliott & Co, by Olympic Broadcasting Services.
It will include the design, fit out, maintenance and dismantling of internal architectural, electrical and mechanical facilities at the 55,000m2 International Broadcast Centre. This will be the hub used by the global radio and TV media attending the event.
Baldomero Falcones, chairman and chief executive of Grupo FCC, said: “The 2012 International Broadcast Centre contract is further proof of FCC’s growing global footprint and symbolises our commitment to be a major player in the development of the infrastructure for London’s 2012 Olympic Games.”
