FCC Elliott UK to fit out Olympic broadcast centre

FCC Elliott UK has won a role to fit out the International Broadcast Centre for the 2012 London Olympics.

The scheme was awarded to the joint venture between Spanish firm FCC Construcción (FCC) and P Elliott & Co, by Olympic Broadcasting Services.

It will include the design, fit out, maintenance and dismantling of internal architectural, electrical and mechanical facilities at the 55,000m² International Broadcast Centre. This will be the hub used by the global radio and TV media attending the event.

Baldomero Falcones, chairman and chief executive of Grupo FCC, said: “The 2012 International Broadcast Centre contract is further proof of FCC’s growing global footprint and symbolises our commitment to be a major player in the development of the infrastructure for London’s 2012 Olympic Games.”
