Alumasc’s Swisrail external wall insulation (EWI) system has been specified for the new Keir Hardie Health Park in South Wales

Alumasc’s Swisrail external wall insulation (EWI) system has been specified for the new Keir Hardie Health Park in South Wales. The system comprises 150mm of mineral wool insulation over a lightweight steel frame. The finish specified was Silkolitt silicone render in a white, rolled texture. The company says the installation has resulted in the building achieving a U-value of 0.21W/Km2 and that Swisrail is specifically designed for use on framed buildings subject to NHBC approval.
