David Fison is appointed chief executive at family-owned UK contractor

Former Skanska UK chief executive David Fison has joined UK contractor Osborne as chief executive.

Fison left Skanska UK last summer after the firm recorded a £41.5m six-month loss despite record turnover breaking the £1bn mark for the first time.

Fison: "Companies that can hold to their values and core capabilities will come out of it leaner but stronger"

Simon Murray, chairman of family-owned construction firm Osborne, said: “We are delighted that David has joined us. The construction industry is facing difficult times that will also bring opportunities for our company. David has the experience and the commitment to lead Osborne through this period and on to a successful future.”

Fison said: “Osborne is well known in the industry for its values and beliefs. In the current environment it is the companies that can hold to their values and core capabilities that will come out of it leaner but stronger and create real value for their clients.“

Last week it was announced that Fison is to join the board of the Olympic Delivery Authority.
