New football ground in Kirby will have the capacity for 50,000 Toffee Men
Everton Football Club has released images of its proposed new 50,000 capacity stadium at Kirkby.
The stadium features the traditional layout of four stands, rather than a bowl-shaped design.
It will cost £150m and could be opened by 2010.
The stadium will be part-funded by supermarket chain Tesco, with a Tesco store being included as part of the surrounding development.
A ballot will be conducted among over 30,000 Everton fans to decide whether the club’s move to the stadium should go ahead.
