Sarah Wigglesworth Architects was commissioned by developer Igloo to create an eco-friendly Christmas tree for a public square in London
The Bermondsey Square tree is composed of 35 recycled bicycle wheels, on loan from UK charity Re~Cycle. “Fairy lights” have been created using reflectors. Hatton Metal Craft made and built the tree in a week and erected it together with contractor Oblique Workshops and structural engineer Techniker.
