CIBSE to hold the Great Refurbishment Event next month

Building services institute CIBSE is holding an event next month to highlight the need for the industry to tackle the existing estate to reduce the built environment's carbon footprint.

The Great Refurbishment Event will be held at The Royal Society, London on the 24 October and aims to offer solutions to "achieving the best possible energy performance at the lowest possible cost". "However this is an area in which it is often difficult to keep on top of new developments," a statement by CIBSE says.

The event promises to leading experts in the field who will "share with you their strategies and techniques to take you from the planning stage through to integrating your refurbishment into improving your energy performance".
