Linden Homes has appointed David Evans technical and commercial director for its operations in the South-east.

Evans joins the housebuilder after two years as commercial director at Bovis Homes, and seven years as technical director of Laing Homes.

The appointment follows the launch earlier this month of Linden Homes South East's Fusion development in Woking.

The firm also recently won planning permission for a 198-flat scheme next to Royal Bushy Park in south-west London.

Last month Linden, which has a turnover of about £250m, appointed the managing director of its southern division to the main board. Pat Feighery has headed the southern business for five years, having joined the company as construction director in 1995.

Linden chief executive Philip Davies told Building last year that his aim for 2006 was to increase annual units from 1100 to between 1300 and 1600, potentially pushing turnover up to £300m.
