Partner will transform 51 hectares of the former Winfrith nuclear research site in Dorset.
Regeneration agency English Partnerships has launched the search for a development partner at the 51ha Winfrith Technology Centre.
EP is planning for the site, near Poole in Dorset, to become a scientific research hub that will provide employment for local residents.
The Winfrith Technology Centre was formerly a civil nuclear research site. EP acquired the site from United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority for £7.54m in 2004.
The agency has appointed GVA Grimley to give property and planning advice on the site. A developer will be chosen by August for the site, which EP bought from the UKAEA (United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority) in May 2004.
Kevin Bourner, senior regeneration manager at English Partnerships said: "The site already accommodates over 40 companies across a range of sectors but there is plenty of room for further expansion and enhancement."
"We're looking for a development partner with the skills and experience to ensure that Winfrith continues to benefit its existing tenants and attracts new employers for many years to come."
