Consultant becomes framework partner on agency's £2bn capital works programme.
Consultant Atkins has been appointed as a framework partner on the Environment Agency’s £2 bn capital works programme.
Atkins has been appointed as a partner on the Environment Agency National Engineering and Environmental Consultancy Framework (NEECA). The programme covers flood defence, waterways and water resources schemes to take place over the next 10 years.
Atkins’ services primarily relate to delivery of the Environment Agency's flood defence capital programme, but are also expected to include support to other aspects of the Environment Agency's work including waste management, biodiversity, landscape design, environmental planning, fisheries, recreation, navigation and water resources.
Environment Agency Project manager, Nikki Brown said: “Atkins will be involved in all aspects of project management from project identification, detailed design and post project appraisals.”
