Pre-tax profit at products group rises 11%, while turnover is up 21%
Building products group Ennstone has reported a record pre-tax profit of £5.6m for the first half, a rise of 11% on the same period last year.
The group also saw turnover jump 21% to £97.8m for the six months to 30 June 2006, compared with £80.8m in the same period last year. The figures were boosted by price growth in UK aggregates and a strong performance in Poland.
Vaughan McLeod, Ennstone chairman, said: “These results were in line with management expectations and were achieved despite increasingly challenging market conditions as the year progressed.”
“All our divisions made significant progress on their key objectives and have built solid foundations for further growth and we are confident that we will continue the progress in achieving our strategic objectives in the second half.”
