London museum appoints international consultancy for three frameworks
International consultancy EC Harris has secured three framework appointments with the British Museum. They include building surveying, project management and CDM coordination, and will run for five years with a possible two year extension.
Partner at the firm Robert Van-Loo said: “Not only is the building Grade 1 listed – with all the issues and challenges that presents, but it houses a priceless collection of unique objects and works of art in a building visited by millions of people a year.
"Although this a challenge as a multi-disciplinary firm we are well equipped to manage this type of opportunity through our unique service capability.”
EC Harris acted as project manager when the British Library was relocated from the British Museum to the new purpose built St Pancras site.
