Arcadis subsidiary buys firm working in Hong Kong, China, Macau, Singapore and India
EC Harris has strengthened its presence in Asia with the acquisition of 200-strong Asian project manager InProjects for an undisclosed sum.
InProjects has a network of offices in Hong Kong, China, Macau, Singapore and India and works for clients across the retail, hotel, hospitality and leisure sectors, including Adidas, Reebok, and Swarovski, among others.
Arcadis already has a large presence in Asia with more than 3,500 staff, thanks to its 2011 acquisition of EC Harris - which had a big China and Hong Kong presence - and 2012 acquisition of 2,800-strong Asian quantity surveyor Davis Langdon & Seah (DLS).
DLS, which now trades as Langdon & Seah, was the former Asian division of UK quantity surveyor Davis Langdon.
Graham Kean, regional leader Asia at EC Harris, said: “We are seeing strong demand for a single provider to manage their footprint both within Asia and across the globe, so together we will be able to meet these needs and continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients wherever they need us to be.”
Matt Fletcher, group managing director at InProjects said: “Joining forces with EC Harris gives our clients access to an even greater pool of skills and capability that will help them to meet the challenges they face on a day to day basis both within Asia and across the globe.”
