Intastop has launched what it says is the world’s first fire-rated double swing hinge. Designed for doors that need to swing 180°, it is a viable option to replace pivot door springs

The patented hinge allows quick and easy opening of doors in either direction, which can reduce maintenance costs in high usage areas. As well as preventing pivot doors splitting on impact, it also conforms to European fire and performance standards with a 30-minute fire rating.

The hinge can also be combined with the company’s removable door stop. When the stop is locked into position the door opens through 90°. When quick access is required or the door is barricaded the removal of the stop will allow the hinge to swing 180°, enabling instant access.
