Dorma UK has launched the ED100 low-energy swing door operator which is suitable for situations where users may be hampered, for example people carrying shopping or using push chairs

Swing door operators are favoured for Disability Discrimination Act requirements as they enable the door to be opened manually, yet when assistance is required the door can open automatically.

The ED100 incorporates a powerful motor as well as the firm’s cam-action closer design.

It means that when the door is opened manually the opening force is rapidly reduced to create little resistance.
