Oxford Properties and Brockton Capital agree deal to build AHMM-designed mixed-use scheme
Oxford Properties and Brockton Capital are joining forces to redevelop the former Royal Mail Sorting Office on New Oxford Street, London.
Designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) the joint venture will produce 320,000 sq ft of space housing loft offices, street-level retail and F&B, 21 affordable apartments and public roof space.
Renamed ‘The Post Building’ residents and occupiers will also benefit from Tottenham Court Road’s Crossrail station, which is due to open at the same time as the development in 2017-18.
Paul Brundage, executive vice president of Oxford Properties, commented that this was the fifth development project the company had undertaken in London. He added that The Post Building complemented their existing European portfolio and “global strategy to develop and acquire prime office and retail assets with a long-term hold strategy in and around major transportation nodes.”
