Almacantar’s plans to turn office space into apartments are subject to discussion with Camden Council
Developer Almacantar is plotting to convert the Centre Point office block in Camden, London, into residential flats, the Times reports.
This week the developer is to open discussions with Camden Council about future options for the Grade Two listed building.
The 34-storey building has 4,000ft² floorplates with no columns and is ideal for accommodating a variety of different sized apartments.
The building was bought by Michael Hussey, cheif executive of Almacantar, for £120m in March this year. The conversion would be the first time in its 46-year history that it has not been used for office space.
