Developer gets resolution to grant for £150m scheme
Developer Development Securities has won resolution to grant planning permission for its £150m scheme at 399 Edgware Road.
The seven acre scheme in north west London will be anchored by an 80,000 sq ft Morrisons supermarket. It will include 118 private homes and an additional 50,000 sq ft of retail and restaurant space. It will also include public realm and a primary school.
Michael Marx, cheif executive Development Securities said he was very pleased to have secured planning for the scheme, which he said demonstrated the firm’s strategy of creating value through the regeneration of redundant and undervalued real estate.
He said: “It has been a priority for us for several years to unlock cash from our non-income producing legacy assets and the progress announced today is a significant step forward in this regard. We look forward to announcing positive news concerning the funding and delivery of this scheme in the near-term.”
The firm said start on site was anticipated in September 2013.
