Pavilion will be situated on elevated site above the Waterworks River
Serie Architects has unveiled designs for a floating hospitality pavilion for the 2012 Olympic games.
The 800m2 pavilion, with a steel superstructure, will be built on an elevated site above the Waterworks River, which runs between the Olympic stadium and the aquatics centre.
Christopher Lee, principal architect at Serie, said: “The design takes the idea of the pavilion in the park – the Victorian bandstand – but instead of one pavilion we envision nine pavilions clustered together to form a family.”
