The terraced housing at Tanner Street in Barking, east London, by Peter Barber Architects, is just such a development. At Point Pleasant, in an industrial area of south-west London, PCKO Architects has created 128 apartments and nine commercial spaces fronted by a screen wall. For Royal William Yard in Plymouth, the listed Royal Naval depot is being converted into 130 flats with gallery and restaurant by Acanthus Ferguson Mann.
