Baldwin will start as Derwent’s head of development in January 2011
Derwent has appointed Davis Langdon director Richard Baldwin as its head of development.
Baldwin will join Derwent in January 2011 and report to main board directors Simon Silver and Paul Williams.
Baldwin’s responsibilities will be taken over by John Hicks, who has been appointed a managing director at Davis Langdon, having previously been head of public sector.
Jeremy Horner, global chief executive of Davis Langdon, said: “This opportunity has arisen at an interesting time in the London development market and Richard has thought long and hard about the direction he should take.”
“Whilst we will miss Richard, we are pleased that he will be joining an important client with whom we have enjoyed an excellent relationship for many years.”
Simon Silver, Derwent’s head of strategic regeneration, said: “He will make a valuable member of the team as the group progresses a number of significant development schemes over the next few years from a substantial central London pipeline in excess of two million square feet.”
