Consultant recruits six QSs including a new project surveyor in Norwich

Cost consultant Davis Langdon has recruited six new members at its Norwich office.

After four years in main contracting Garvan Smith rejoins Davis Langdon as a project surveyor. Smith’s experience lies in the cost management of residential, office, defence and education developments and he is currently working as part of Davis Langdon’s team for a major redevelopment project in Russia.

Amanda Cooper joins as an assistant project manager with over three years experience of working in IT and construction project roles at Norwich Union. With a BSc (Hons) in business management she will be studying for the MSc in project management at the University of Reading alongside the RICS's APC.

James Phillips recently graduated with a degree in QS and construction commercial management from Nottingham Trent University. Having worked for Davis Langdon during his year out in industry, he now joins as a graduate QS and will be undertaking the firm’s graduate development programme working towards his professional accreditation as a QS.

Frankie Ansell joins the team as a trainee project manager after gaining his BTEC National Diploma in construction from Norwich City College and will be supported in undertaking a part time degree in construction management.

Alex Williamson joins as a trainee QS and similarly will be supported in undertaking a part time degree at Anglia Ruskin University.

Claire Roper has been appointed business development assistant, joining the expanding department aimed at supporting business activities both locally and across the region. Based in Norwich, she previously worked for Norfolk Wildlife Trust and has more than two years experience of marketing and PR.

Finally, Danelle Leggett joins as administration assistant after graduating this summer from the University of East Anglia with a BA in history and history of art.
