Sisk to build £149m cancer centre
Currie & Brown has been appointed project director and project manager for a children’s cancer centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Sisk has signed a pre-construction services agreement with the hospital in London for a £149m centre.
The deal will run until May 2022 to allow the team to work up detailed plans and fix the final budget.
The Sisk team, which also includes architect BDP, beat Skanska to the work back in September 2017.
The 16,000sq m centre will be the hospital’s new “front door,” replacing the current street-facing side of the Bloomsbury complex. It will specialise in treating rare and difficult-to-treat cancers.
Other members of the Sisk team include planning consultant Turley, project and cost management firm McBains and medical equipment specialist MTS Health.
