Culture secretary’s decision clears path clear for British Land’s scheme
Culture secretary Jeremy Hunt has rejected calls to list Broadgate Circus, clearing the way for a £340m British Land scheme in the City (inset).
The future of the Make-designed office for UBS was in doubt after English Heritage recommended that the buildings in its way be listed. But Hunt said this week: “Broadgate is not of sufficient historic or architectural interest to merit a listing.”
