Allies and Morrison-designed scheme for the Royal Mail given green light
An Allies and Morrison-designed residential tower scheme in East Croydon has won planning permission.
The 8-21 storeys scheme is for the Royal Mail Estates on the site of one of its delivery offices, which is moving to another part of the town.
The scheme incoporates 201 residnetial apartments with 20,000 sq ft of retail units on the ground floor.
The apartments will be arranged in three linked buildings around a central communal courtyard garden.
Mark Underwood, partner in the planning team at Deloitte Real Estate, said: “Croydon is fast becoming a focus of new investment specifically with retail and residential.
“This is a great example of change of use, providing high quality new homes in a key gateway location.”
