David Bennett's job as implementation director will be to ensure major projects meet budget and time deadlines

Crossrail has appointed David Bennett to the newly created position of implementation director. Bennett, currently deputy Crossrail project representative, will start his new role on 20 July 2009.

He is to work closely with the project delivery partner to ensure the major construction element of the Crossrail programme is delivered on time and to budget.

Rob Holden, chief executive of Crossrail welcomed his “wealth of experience.”
